JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln football team capped off its spring schedule with its annual Navy & White Spring Game on Saturday (April 11) at Dwight T. Reed Stadium. The Blue Tigers were mostly able to avoid the day's rain, with Team Navy beating Team White, 29-21.

With the roster pitting offense vs. defense, Team Navy (the defense) forced three turnovers, including a fumble recovery on the game's final play to secure the victory.

"I thought our defense played well, as they have all spring," said
Moses Harper, head coach of the LU football team. "We have a lot of new faces in the program that we expect to contribute in the fall and today was a preview of that. We were very fortunate to come out of the spring season injury-free and maximized valuable reps for our guys to be evaluated. I'm very pleased with the state of our program and look forward to adding the rest of our team for the 2026 season."
Â
The football program also hosted the Lincoln University Football Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament on Friday (April 10) at Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City. It was an opportunity to come back to Jefferson City for a day of golf and Blue Tiger camaraderie. Alumni, family, and friends of the Lincoln football program came out to visit with the current coaches and staff of the department, as well as the athletic department's leadership to celebrate with the Blue Tigers.
The event was a success, with proceeds helping to fund recruiting efforts, equipment and program enhancements for the student athletes.
"Thanks to everyone in our community - our alumni, friends, families, and local businesses - for your support," Harper said. "The turnout and the smiles meant a lot to these young men. This was a true community success."
The football program would like to thank all of our sponsors for the event and each and every individual that spent time on the golf course Friday afternoon.
