JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln football team has released its schedule for the 2026 season. The Blue Tigers will play 10 games, including six at Dwight T. Reed Stadium, one of which will be a battle of HBCUs between Lincoln and Langston.
The Blue Tigers open the season on Saturday, Aug. 29 by hosting Central Methodist at 6:00 p.m. CT. Fans are encouraged to wear blue as Lincoln strives to win its opener for the second year in a row. After a week off, Lincoln returns to Reed Stadium to host Langston on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 6:00 p.m. CT. Besides being a meeting between two HBCUs, this game will be Greek Night as well as a White Out game, with Blue Tiger fans encouraged to wear white.
Lincoln opens GLVC play on the road on Saturday, Sept. 19, as the Blue Tigers travel to Illinois to take on Quincy at 1:00 p.m. CT. Saturday, Sept. 26 will be Lincoln's annual Homecoming game, with the Blue Tigers playing Upper Iowa at 2:00 p.m. CT. LU will then open the month of October with a game in Bolivar, Mo. against Southwest Baptist on Oct. 3 at 1:00 p.m. CT.
Saturday, Oct. 17 will be Lincoln's Think Pink game, as the Blue Tigers promote breast cancer awareness during their 12:00 p.m. CT game against Indianapolis. LU remains at home the next Saturday, Oct. 24, to play McKendree at 12:00 p.m. CT. That will be Military and First Responders Day, and the Blue Tigers will celebrate all veterans, active members of the armed forces, firefighters, EMTs, nurses, and others for their service to the community.
LU will be on the road the next two weeks, playing at Truman State on Oct. 31 and at Missouri S&T on Nov. 7, with both games scheduled for 1:00 p.m. CT starts. Lincoln closes the regular season with its annual Senior Day game on Nov. 14, with the Blue Tigers taking the field at 12:00 p.m. CT.
