PUEBLO, Colo. - The Lincoln women's track & field team won the national title in the 4x400m relay at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, held from Thursday through Saturday (May 22-24).
The foursome of
Shaneal Clarke Giddings,
Britney Brown,
Shevanae Thomas and
Shantae George clocked in at 3:32.62 to win the 4x400m relay by 0.29 seconds. The Blue Tigers finished the national championship meet with 15 points, tying for 17th on the overall team standings.
Clarke Giddings individually placed sixth in the 800m, timing in at 2:06.98. George finished eighth in the 200m after clocking in at 23.34 while Thomas took eighth in the 400m at 53.35.Â
In the 4x100m relay, the team of Thomas, George, Alliyannah Anderson and
Denita Jackson finished in 11th after timing in at 45.09 to earn second team All-American honors. George earned second team All-American honors in the 100m after posting a time of 11.42 while Anderson timed in at 13.51 to earn second team All-American distinction in the 100m hurdles. Thomas and
Odeshia Nanton rounded out the Blue Tigers by placing 12th and 13th, respectively, in the 400m.
