THE TIP OFF:Â The Lincoln women's basketball team continues its season on the road this week with a pair of non-conference contests. The Blue Tigers are in St. Louis, Mo. on Thursday (Nov. 20) to play Harris Stowe at 5:30 p.m. CST in a battle of the state of Missouri's two HBCU programs. On Saturday (Nov. 22), Lincoln travels west to Maryville, Mo. to play former MIAA rival Northwest Missouri at 1:00 p.m. CST. Lincoln is 1-2 on the season and is coming off a 66-48 win over Haskell in its home opener on Monday (Nov. 17). Harris Stowe is seeking its first victory of the season while Northwest Missouri is 1-3 entering a Wednesday night (Nov. 19) home game against Rockhurst.

- Lincoln and Harris Stowe will meet for the 44th time on Thursday, with the Blue Tigers holding a commanding 39-4 lead in the all-time series.

Kennedy Jones leads LU in rebounding (7.0) as well as assists (3.7) while both Joseph and
Chase Giddings average 5.7 rebounds.
Kiara Cabrera is dishing 2.3 assists per contest while
Kaleah Toran and
Bella Borgos are each averaging 2.7 points.

HEAD COACH ADDAE HOUSTON:Â A 17-year coaching veteran with strong ties to Missouri, Houston is in his second season as the head coach of the Blue Tigers. Houston helped lead Division I Northwestern State record a .714 home winning percentage in 2023-24 following a successful four-year run as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Northwest Missouri. He was the head coach at Southwestern Community College from 2013-18, leading the team to its first postseason win in over a decade.

LAST TIME OUT:Â Lincoln used a 20-point third quarter to run away with a 66-48 victory against Haskell in its home opener on Monday (Nov. 17).
Hallie Williamson scored 17 points,
Laini Joseph added 15 and
Chase Giddings had nine points and nine rebounds.
Kennedy Jones pulled down 10 rebounds and had three steals as Lincoln forced Haskell into 22 turnovers.

SCOUTING THE HORNETS:Â Harris Stowe has a pair of high scorers in Cailynn Dilosa (20.0 ppg.) and Alivia Montgomery (19 ppg.), with Dilosa also leading the team with 2.5 assists per game. J'Lessa Jordan averages a team-high 1.8 steals as well as 5.3 points and 5.5 rebounds. Janiya Jones tallies a team-best 6.7 rebounds per contest while Jayla Dixon averages 4.5 boards.

HSSU HEAD COACH CHARMAINE WILSON: Â In 13 seasons as the head coach at Edward Waters, Wilson won over 200 games with three 20-victory campaigns. Wilson spent seven seasons at Divison I Bethune Cookman as an assistant coach and also was the head coach at Allen for one season.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS:Â Through the first four games of the season, junior Andrea Lopreato is averaging 18.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals. Kenzie Melcher is next in scoring with 8.8 points, followed by Bailey Birmingham with 8.3. Sadie Maas is the top rebounder with 8.0 per contest and Boston Wand averages 5.3 points and 4.0 rebounds. Ella Moody and Kirsten Hauck each averages 5.0 points.

NWMSU HEAD COACH AUSTIN MEYER: Â In eight seasons as the head coach at his alma mater, Meyer has won 98 games to rank third on the all-time win list. Meyer led NWMSU to the NCAA tournament in 2023-24 after setting a program record with 16 MIAA victories. Before becoming the head coach of the women's program, Meyer spent 10 years as an assistant coach of the men's team at NWMSU.

FIELD GOOOOOAAAAALLLL:Â The leader in made field goals for the GLVC plays at Lincoln, as
Hallie Williamson has made 19, the 77th-most in Division II. Also high on the GLVC list is
Laini Joseph, who has made 17 field goals. Williamson is additionally leading the GLVC in points (53) while Joseph is fourth with 48.

GOING FOR THREE:Â Hallie Williamson has been sharp from behind the arc, shooting .400 on three-point attempts, 11th-best average in the GLVC. Williamson ranks 18th in the country and first in the GLVC in made three-pointers with 10, and she is 36th nationally and leading the league with 3.3 treys per contest.
Laini Joseph, with five successful triples, is seventh in the GLVC in that statistic.

I'LL TAKE IT:Â Kennedy Jones has been one of the best ball thieves in the country, as her 10 total steals rank her 22nd in NCAA Division II. She is averaging 3.3 steals per contest, the 68th-best mark in the country. Jones currently leads the GLVC in total steals and is fifth in the conference in steals per game.

D-D-D-DEFENSE:Â Lincoln ranks highly in the GLVC in several defensive statistics, including defensive rebounds, as LU is third in the league with 29.7 per game. Lincoln has the league's fifth-best scoring defense (59.7) and are fifth in both field goal defense (.359) and in three-point defense (.256). The Blue Tigers additionally rank sixth in the conference in turnovers forced per game (19.0).

OTHER NOTABLE STATS:Â Hallie Williamson is second in the GLVC in blocks with three while
Kennedy Jones is third in the conference in assists with 11. Jones also rates seventh in the league in assists per game at 3.7 and is third in the conference in total rebounds (21). In steals,
Kiara Cabrera ranks third in the conference with seven total takeaways.

TOP RETURNER:Â The top-returning player from last year's squad is
Isis Sanders, who averaged 7.2 points while playing 30.7 minutes per contest in 2024-25. She also averaged 2.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists, and she had 13 steals as well as five blocks. Sanders reached double digit points seven times, including scoring 16 on Upper Iowa.
