JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln men's soccer team hosts a pair of GLVC opponents at Dwight T. Reed Stadium this weekend. On the line is LU's undefeated season, as the Blue Tigers enter the weekend 6-0-2 overall and 4-0-2 against conference competition.
The Blue Tigers open the weekend by hosting Illinois-Springfield on Friday night (Oct. 10) at 7:30 p.m. CDT. On Sunday (Oct. 12) at 2:30 p.m. CDT, the Blue Tigers play Indianapolis, a team receiving votes in the national top-25 poll. Both contests will be played at Dwight T. Reed Stadium.
Lincoln, which is ranked No. 20 in this week's United Soccer Coaches Division II poll, is led defensively by
Vincent Osei, who has allowed only six goals in 630 minutes in the net. Osei has recorded two shutouts and made 34 saves, the most among GLVC keepers. Osei's save percentage of .850 is the 10th-best in the country while, as a team, Lincoln has Division II's ninth-best save percentage of .844. The Blue Tigers are additionally 15th in the country with a goal differential of +11.
Kevon Maitland, who had a hat trick in LU's victory over Drury, and
Hadri Lopez are tied for the team-lead with 11 points apiece. Maitland has a team-high five goals to go with an assist, and his three game-winning goals lead the GLVC and are ranked sixth in the nation. Lopez has scored three goals and leads LU with five assists, the 10th-most in Division II.
Nkouka Loubassou also has three goals on the season.
The Blue Tigers are the only GLVC team that has not suffered a loss in 2025. Due to the league's point system, Lincoln is currently third in the conference standings behind Rockhurst (a half game ahead with a 5-0-2 league record and 17 total points) and Indianapolis (5-1-1 in the league for 16 points). Lincoln's winning percentage of .850 also leads the GLVC, with Indianapolis next at .800.
