JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - After a career day against McKendree, Lincoln junior
Jaylen Thomas was named the Quarter Phi Back Co-HBCU Quarterback of the Week. The organization, which highlights the achievements of black quarterbacks at the high school and college levels, announced the award on Wednesday morning (Oct. 29).
Thomas threw for 417 yards in Lincoln's 54-48 loss at McKendree on Saturday (Oct. 25). Thomas completed 27 passes, including a 44-yard touchdown pass to
Marcus Harris and a four-yard scoring strike to
Jaden Holloway. The Blue Tigers outscored McKendree 48-26 over the final three quarters.Â
