2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championship Central
EMPORIA, Kan. - The Lincoln women's track & field scored 19 points to take 13th overall while the LU men placed 34th with six points at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, held from Thursday through Saturday (May 23-25).
The Lincoln women's 4x400m relay team, consisting of
Shaneal Clarke Giddings,
Shevanae Thomas,
Odeshia Nanton and
Shantae George, finished in third place with a time of 3:34.35. Lincoln's other points came in the 400m hurdles, where Nanton was the national runner-up with a time of 57.62.
Maria Diamond, meanwhile, claimed fourth after timing in at 59.46. All of five of those athletes earned first team All-American recognition.
Sharim Hamilton finished third in the men's 400m hurdles to earn All-American first team status. Hamilton clocked in at 50.65.
