ROLLA, Mo. - The Lincoln men's and women's outdoor track & field teams combined to win five events at the Dewey Allgood Invitational, hosted by Missouri S&T University on Saturday (April 20).
The Blue Tiger men won three of the field events, with
Dejone Raymond taking the crown in the high jump with a mark of 1.96m.
Melon Lowenfield won the long jump with a leap of 7.32m and Dimetri Browne placed third with a distance of 6.73m. In the triple jump,
Malik Drummond (14.34m) and Lowenfield (13.95m) respectively took first and second.
Joshua Dottin finished in fourth place in both the 110m hurdles (14.93) and 400m hurdles (57.25).
Antwaan Walker, meanwhile, claimed third in the 200m (22.25) and sixth in the 100m (10.92).
On the women's side,
Abigail Brooks was the champion of the 400m, timing in at 58.13, and
Annalisa Barclay won the triple jump with a distance of 12.40m. Doreen Onchangu placed third in both the 800m (2:20.43) and the 1500m (4:54.37).
Ray-Donna Lee claimed fourth in the 100m hurdles, clocking in at 17.05, and
Ellis Cohen placed eighth in the 800m after posting a time of 27.42. Cohen (1.58m) and
Nehlia Mills (1.53m) respectively took second and third in the high jump. Shemar-Kaye Fable, meanwhile, took 12th in the long jump with a leap of 4.66m.
Both Blue Tiger teams will be in Lawrence, Kan. next week for the Rock Chalk Classic, hosted by the University of Kansas on Saturday (April 27).
