PITTSBURG, Kan. - Lincoln's men's and women's indoor track & field teams were back in action on Saturday (Jan. 27), competing at the Wendy's/Pittsburg State University Invitational.
Kewani Campbell had the highest finish of the day for the Blue Tigers, taking second in the men's 800m after timing in at 1:53.01. Campbell also teamed with Shemir Hamilton,
Donovan Bruce and Daujaughn Murray to finish in seventh in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:16.45.
Wesley Tyndall (7.36m) and
Dejone Raymond (2.00m) each had third place finishes in the long jump and the high jump, respectively. In the 400m,
Emmanuel Rwotomiya clocked in at 48.09 to finish in eighth place.
Shaneal Clarke-Giddings finished in seventh in the women's 800m, timing in at 2:14.06, and
Odeshia Nanton claimed seventh in the 400m with a time of 56.40.
Shanette Allison checked in at eighth place in the 60m hurdles with her mark of 9.13. Meanwhile, in the high jump,
Nehlia Mills tied for eighth at 1.58m.
Up next for both LU programs is the Bearcat Invite, hosted by Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo. on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 2-3).
