MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Lincoln men's indoor track & field team recorded 13 finishes among the top-10 in events at the Bearcat Invite, hosted by Northwest Missouri State University.
The 4x400m relay team of
Kevaughn Goldson,
DauJaughn Murray,
Shanthamoi Brown and
Kewani Campbell placed second with a time of 3:13.59, and
Malik Drummond was the runner-up in the triple jump at 14.46m. Campbell also had an individual runner-up finish in the 800m, as he clocked in at 1:51.63.
Rashane Bartlett (7.99) and
Troy Whyte (8.04) respectively placed second and third in the 60m hurdles, and
Dejone Raymond took seventh in the high jump at 1.95m.
Dimitri Beckford, meanwhile, claimed sixth in the 60m dash with a time of 6.87.
In the 200m,
Reuben Nichols placed second (21.58),
Shemar Fletcher came in third (21.73) and Murray took eighth (22.55). Goldson (48.62) took sixth in the 400m, while Brown (48.74) and Murray (49.11) respectively claimed eighth and 10th.
Next weekend, Lincoln heads to Pittsburg, Kan. for the 8th Annual Indoor Gorillas Classic, hosted by Pittsburg State University on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 10-11).
