JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - Lincoln's women's and men's indoor track & field teams combined to win four events at the Hilltop Classic, hosted on Friday (Feb. 17) by Illinois College.
Annalisa Barclay was the victor of the triple jump with a distance of 11.88m, while Nehlia MIlls claimed sixth in the high jump at 1.49m.
Monae Carey won two events: the 55m (7.18) and the 200m (25.73).
In the 55m,
Ray-Donna Lee came in fifth at 7.62, and
Vivian Akunna (7.63) came in sixth while Mills (7.65) checked in at eighth. In the 200m, meanwhile, Mills (26.28) and
Denita Jackson (26.33) respectively placed fourth and fifth.
Akunna was the runner-up of the 55m hurdles, clocking in at 8.39, and Lee took third in 9.06.
Jameaka Mannings had a ninth-place finish in the 800m, finishing in 2:25.63. Rounding out the LU women was Jackson in the 400m, where she placed fourth in 1:01.07.
The Lincoln men's team's victory came in the long jump, where Weley Tyndall was the champ with a leap of 6.85m. Lenford Pinnock also represented LU in that event, taking third at 6.54m.
Michael Cunningham timed in at 50.86 to finish as the runner-up in the 400m, and
Dervin Walker came in third in the 200m after timing in at 23.08. In the 55m dash,
Davian Clarke (6.43) took third and
Dimitri Beckford (6.45) came in fourth while
Jamar Treasure (6.51) finished in sixth.
Donovan Bruce claimed ninth in the 800m after clocking in at 2:00.68.
