EMPORIA, Kan. - The Lincoln women's outdoor track & field team qualified 10 entries into event finals at the 2022 MIAA Championships, hosted by Emporia State University on Saturday (May 7).
Kelly-Ann Beckford (2:08.99) and
Chrissani May (2:10.80) posted the two quickest times in the 800m, and
Maria Diamond qualified for the finals of both the 400m hurdles (59.58) and the 400m dash (44.79). In the latter event,
Shevanae Thomas qualified with a time of 55.16.
Shanette Allison posted the fastest time of 13.74 in the 100m hurdles, and will be joined in the finals by Sophia Myers, who clocked in at 14.01.
Shantae George, meanwhile, will represent Lincoln in the finals of both the 100m dash (11.76) and the 200m (24.28). Thomas also posted a qualifying time of 24.48 in the 200m.
The scored events of the 2022 MIAA Championships will take place on Sunday (May 8).
