ALLENDALE, Mich. - Five individuals and two relay teams qualified for event finals as Lincoln's women's and men's outdoor track & field teams completed day two of the 2022 NCAA Division II Championships on Friday (May 27).
The LU women's 4x400m relay team, consisting of
Kelly-Ann Beckford,
Chrissani May,
Maria Diamond and Shevane Thomas, won the preliminaries with a time of 3:39.28. Beckford and May also advanced to the finals of the 800m, with Beckford posting a time of 2:10.47 and May clocking in at 2:09.52. Lincoln also had two qualifiers in the 100m hurdles in Sophia Myers (13.60) andÂ
Shanette Allison (13.89).
Anna Barclay, meanwhile, placed 11th in the triple jump with a distance of 12.21.
The Blue Tiger men also advanced to the finals of the 4x400m relay, with foursome of
Kewani Campbell,
Reuben Nichols,
Troy Whyte and
Shanthamoi Brown clocking in at 3:08.98. Individually,
Rashane Bartlett qualified for the finals of the 110m hurdles in 14,11,
All of the remaining event will finals will take place on the third and final day of the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday (May 28).
