MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Lincoln women's track & field team won four events, broke three records and scored 86 points to take third at the 2022 MIAA Indoor Championships, hosted by Northwest Missouri State University on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 26-27).
Maria Diamond won the 600-yard in 1:21.45, and teamed with
Jameaka Mannings,
Chrissani May and
Kelly-Ann Beckford to win the distance medley in 11:53.02. Both times are new meet records. Meanwhile, Beckford won the 800m in 2:09.32, a new facility record, while May came in fourth with a time of 2:12.91.
Mannings, May, Diamond and
Shevanae Thomas combined to win the 4x400m relay in 3:42.08. Beckford posted a runner-up finish in the mile, clocking in at 4:48.76, and
Shanette Allison was the runner-up of the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.57.
Anna Barclay, meanwhile, took third in the triple jump with a distance of 12.02m.
Danneika Lyn (7.52) and Hughasia Fyffe (7.64) respectively placed third and seventh in the 60m dash, and Thomas came in fifth in the 200m (24.72). Thomas also took fourth in the 400m, clocking in at 55.49, while Mannings finished seventh in that event, timing in at 56.53.
The Blue Tigers will now wait to see how many entries they will have into the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held in Pittsburg, Kan. on March 11-12.
