TOPEKA, Kan. - Four members of the Lincoln men's golf team improved their scores to finish the Washburn Invitational strong on Tuesday (Sept. 14). Lincoln placed 19th overall at the three-round tournament, hosted by Washburn University at Topeka Country Club.

Hunter Ramirez had the best round on Tuesday, shooting a 75 to lead LU's golfers on the second day of the tournament. Ramirez had previously shot scores of 87 and 83 on Monday (Sept. 13) to finish the invitational with a three-round 245. Remon Rabie also shot a 245, carding an 80 on Tuesday after posting scores of 83 and 82 on Monday.

Dedrick Harris II was next for the Blue Tigers with a three-round total of 256. Harris shot an 84 in each of the final two rounds after carding an 88 in the opening set of 18 holes. Brett Trowbridge also scored an 84 on Tuesday, and finished with a sum of 257 after turning in scores of 88 and 85 during the first day of competition. Rory Bills closed out LU with a 290 after shooting rounds of 102, 97 and 91.

Lincoln will be back on the links in two weeks, as the Blue Tigers head to Lake City, Minn. on Sept. 27-28 for the Watkins Invitational, hosted by Winona State University at The Jewel.
