JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. –
Vivian Chigbu and
Alex Gordon have joined the Lincoln women's basketball team's coaching staff as graduate assistants for the 2021-22 season.
Chigbu, who spent the past two seasons as a player with the Blue Tigers, averaged 9.0 points and 7.5 rebounds during her LU career. Chigbu started 38 games in that span and posted nine double-doubles, including seven in a 2019-20 campaign that ended with her ranked fifth in the MIAA in rebounding. Chigbu started her collegiate career at Baltimore City Community College, averaging 10.8 points and 9.1 boards during her sophomore season.
Gordon spent three seasons as an NCAA Division I athlete, most recently playing at North Florida in 2019-20. He also played two years at Florida International University, earning a spot on the Conference USA All-Freshman Team in 2016-17. Gordon made 38 starts at FIU and averaged 9.4 points during his sophomore campaign. Gordon was a McDonald's All-American nominee in high school after scoring over 1,000 points and earning all-conference distinction.
