THE TIP OFF:  The Lincoln women's basketball team tips off the new year at home today as the Blue Tigers host Emporia State. Lincoln is 4-7 on the year but 2-3 at home, and is seeking its first MIAA win of the year against an Emporia State squad that is 8-4 overall and 3-3 in the league.

UP THE BLOCK:  Ashtin Ingram is in her second year as a Blue Tiger, but she's already added her name to the record books. Ingram has blocked 52 shots over the past two seasons, placing her eighth all-time on LU's career block list. Ingram needs just three more blocks to surpass Andrea Sykes (54 career rejections) for seventh on the all-time list.

TAKE IT AWAY:  The Blue Tigers have stolen the ball 110 times in 2021-22, and currently are 55th in NCAA Division II in total steals. Lincoln ranks second in the MIAA in steals per game (10.0) and is fourth in the conference in total steals. The Blue Tigers force an average of 19.0 turnovers per game, the second-most of any MIAA program.

SECOND CHANCES:  With 13.6 offensive boards per contest, Lincoln ranks second in the MIAA in offensive rebounding. Imani Jones leads the Blue Tigers with 24 offensive boards, and Le'Yanna McGinnis is next with 22.
