FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Lincoln's women's and men's indoor track & field teams combined to win eight events at the Strive For Greatness Indoor Meet, hosted by Indiana Tech University on Friday (Dec. 10).
The LU women swept the top-three in the 400m, with
Maria Diamond winning in 56.21, followed by
Shevanae Thomas (56.90) and
Jameaka Mannings (56.94).
Monae Carey won the 60m with a time of 7.69, and Shanette Allison clocked in at 8.41 to emerge victorious in the 60m hurdles.
Kelly-Ann Beckford was the victor of the 800m with a time of 2:14.18, and
Chrissani May was the runner-up after timing in at 2:16.31. Annalisa Barclay rounded out the LU women with a victory in the triple jump, as she posted a distance of 12.39m.
Kizan David had a pair of victories for the LU men, including winning the long jump with a leap of 7.43m. David was also victorious in the triple jump, posting a distance of 14.59m.
Rashane Bartlett had Lincoln's other win, as he clocked in with the fastest time of 7.94 in the 60m hurdles.
Lincoln will be off until Jan. 22, when both programs compete in the Crimson & Gold Invitational, hosted in Pittsburg, Kan. by Pittsburg State University.
