KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three members of the Lincoln bowling team earned All-MIAA honors, led by
Nina Theroff, who was named to the all-conference second team.
DaiMone Lewis and
Dominique Lee additionally received All-MIAA honorable mention accolades, with the three athletes becoming the first members of the Blue Tiger bowling program ever to earn all-conference recognition.
Theroff averaged 171.9 pins in 31 traditional games this year and bowled a season-high 244 at the Music City Classic, with that single-game score leading LU in 2018-19. Theroff also bowled a 234 against Texas Southern and had nine games in which bowled a score higher than 190.
Lewis played in 21 traditional games and averaged 165.3 pins, with a season-high total of 199 at the Big Red Invitational. In eight games, Lewis bowled a 175 or better, and knocked down 189 or more pins in five of those contests. Lee, meanwhile, averaged 168 pins for the season with a single-game high of 219 against Drury.
The Blue Tigers will close their 2018-19 campaign at the MIAA Championship, which will be held in Springfield, Mo. at Andy B's on March 23-24.
