KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Five members of the Lincoln football team were named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced on Thursday (Dec. 5).
In addition,
Cody Alexander, a sophomore defensive back from Jefferson City majoring in wellness, earned the MIAA Scholar Athlete Award. The award is bestowed upon any player from a league institution who has finished at least two semesters of coursework, owns a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, and who was selected to the All-MIAA team.
Joining Alexander on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll are junior tight end
Raphael Green (St. Louis, Mo./Journalism major); junior defensive back
Tavon Tate (Chicago, Ill./Pre-Engineering); sophomore linebacker
Vontavious Thacker (Memphis, Tenn./Business Administration); and sophomore offensive lineman
Jonathan Vega (Haines City, Fla./Wellness).
To qualify for the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, a player must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher through at least two full semesters at a league institution.
