JONESBORO, Ark. - Nina Theroff finished 17th out of 128 competitors to lead the Lincoln bowling team at the Mid-Winter Invitational, hosted by Arkansas State University from Friday through Sunday (Jan. 11-13).

Theroff averaged 198.0 pins, and bowled a 234 in LU's first traditional match of the tournament. In traditional play, Theroff, who knocked down 990 pins for the tournament, also posted scores of 208, 207 and 197.

Chyann Taylor had LU's next-highest finish, taking 60th on the individual leaderboard with an average of 167.6 pins, while Daimone Lewis averaged 167.0 pins to come in 61st in her Blue Tiger debut. Taylor had a single game-high of 193, while Lewis scored a 198 in her fourth traditional match and a 190 in her second.

DeAsia Britton averaged 146 pins with a high of 169, and Betsy Britt rounded out Lincoln with an average of 93.6 pins, including a high of 122.

Lincoln beat Alabama A&M, 710-698, in Baker play, and opened tournament play with an 891-822 over that same A&M squad. In the final round of the tournament, the Blue Tigers made it a three-match sweep over Alabama A&M, winning 605-550.

The Blue Tigers will next be in action at the Columbia 300 Saints Invitational in Chesterfield, Mo. on Jan. 25-27.
