JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln cross country team begins its 2025 campaign on Friday (Sept. 12) when the Blue Tigers travel to Columbia, Mo. for the Larry Young Invitational. Hosted by Columbia College, the race will be held at Gans Creek Cross Country Course and will start at 5:30 p.m. CDT.

Lincoln will have mostly a new roster this season, with just two returning athletes from the 2024 squad. Odeshia Nanton posted a time of 28:10.66 at the 6k GLVC Championship race last fall and finished the Brian T. Simpson Invitational, a 5k race, in 23:09.95. Britney Brown, meanwhile, finished third among the Blue Tigers at the latter race, clocking in at 22:01.02. At last year's Larry Young Invitational, Brown timed in at 23:56.00.

Hannah Fatade joins the team after spending last year on the women's track & field squad. The other newcomers include Hannah Charles, Kimeisha Francis, Jeneail Henry, Ezthia Maycock, Calah McDonald and Chanel Richardson.
