Final Results
SMITHVILLE, Mo. - The Lincoln men's golf team claimed seventh place out of 13 teams at the Kansas City Cup, hosted by William Jewell College at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 23-24).
Remon Rabie fired a three-round 223 to finish just seven-over par and in a tie for 10th on the individual leaderboard. Rabie shot a 77 in the opening round, carded a 70 in the second round, and recorded a 76 in the final round.
Henry Mwanza finished just one stroke back with a 224, good for 12th place, after posting scores of 72, 77 and 75.
Blake Meredith tied for 37th after shooting a 235 with individual round totals of 80, 79 and 76.
Jett Maasen was next for LU with a 237, as he tied for 39th after shooting rounds of 82, 75 and 80. Closing out Lincoln's play was Alejandro Tovar Cardova, who had a final score of 248 after carding sums of 82, 81 and 85.
Lincoln will be off next week and then will travel to Lemont, Ill. for the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate, which will be hosted by Lewis University at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club on Oct. 7-8.
