SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - The Lincoln men's golf team shot a two-round total of 673 to finish in eighth place at the Whistling Straits Classic, hosted by Taylor University at Whistling Straits Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 14-15). Whistling Straits has hosted numerous PGA Tour events and is considered by professionals to be one of the toughest courses in the world.

Henry Mwanza led the way for the Blue Tigers, firing a 158 to tie for fifth overall. Mwanza shot a 79 in each round to finish just two shots behind the tournament's individual champion. Jett Maasen, meanwhile, shot a 79 in the opening round and a 91 in the second to tie for 35th with a final sum of 170.

Blake Meredith tied for 40th after tallying scores of 84 and 88 for a total of 172. Remon Rabie ended the tourney one shot back of Meredith with a 173, as he carded an 82 on Monday and a 91 on Tuesday. Closing out the Blue Tigers was Logen Prock, who shot scores of 99 and 92 for a final total of 191.

Lincoln will wrap up its 2024 fall schedule at the Railwood Open, hosted by William Woods University at Railwood Golf Club in Holts Summit, Mo. next Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 21-22).
