ELSAH, Ill. - The Lincoln cross country team posted its first top-five finish of its 2022 campaign on Friday (Oct. 7) as the Blue Tigers scored 125 points to place fifth at the Border War, hosted by Principia College.

Maria Diamond led LU with a time of 20:45.56 to score 12 points, and Denita Jackson added 16 points by timing in at 21:16.79. Chrissani May had Lincoln's third-quickest time of 23:01.99.

Shevanae Thomas timed in at 23:46.14 while Sophia Myers posted a time of 24:04.38. Nehlia Mills, who clocked in at 24:36.83, and Nattesha Palmer, who finished in 25:14.64, also represented Lincoln on Friday.

Lincoln has one more race left in the 2022 regular season, the SBU Open, which will be hosted by Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. on Friday, Oct. 21.
