BOLIVAR, Mo. - The Lincoln cross country team closed its regular season with a second-straight top-10 finish on Friday (Oct. 21), as the Blue Tigers claimed ninth at the SBU Open, hosted by Southwest Baptist University.

Maria Diamond led LU at the 5K race with a time of 21:02.52 to finish 39th overall. Chrissani May was Lincoln's next-quickest finisher, as she timed in at 22:56.67.

Shevanae Thomas clocked in at 24:13.51, and Nattesha Palmer was close behind at 24:41.14. Nehlia Mills (24:51.21), Sophia Myers (24:57.87) and Jameaka Mannings (25:22.13) rounded out Lincoln at the race, its final of the 2022 regular season.

The Blue Tigers will head to Joplin, Mo. on Saturday, Nov. 5, to compete in the MIAA Cross Country Championships, hosted by Missouri Southern State University.
