Final Results
ELSAH, Ill. - The Lincoln cross country team finished the 2021 regular season on a high note, posting its first top-five result of the year at the Border War XC Invitational on Friday (Oct. 8). Lincoln finished fourth out of nine teams at the 5k race, hosted by Principia College.
Maria Diamond led Lincoln with an 11th-place individual result after timing in at 20:22.91.
Chrissani May had LU's next quickest time of 21:33.91, placing her 23rd overall.
Jameaka Mannings clocked in at 21:55.72 to finish in 32nd, and
Melissa Tyme finished the race in 22:31.44 to place 37th. Closing out the scoring for the Blue Tigers was
Shevanae Thomas, who timed in at 24:09.12 to come in 44th.
Kelly-Ann Beckford, who posted a time of 24:46.01, represented Lincoln on Friday, as did
Nehlia Mills (26:45.54) and
Aliyah George (26:55.69).
The Blue Tigers will next compete in the MIAA Cross Country Championship, hosted by the University of Nebraska Kearney in Kearney, Neb. on Saturday, Oct. 23.
