JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -
Jordan Lawson, who just finished her junior season with the Lincoln softball team, was selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-District first team. Lawson was one of 12 athletes in District 7 to make the all-district team, which was voted upon by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.
A three-time All-MIAA honorable mention, Lawson, an outfielder, hit .312 for the season and led the Blue Tigers with 24 runs scored. Lawson finished second on the team with 48 hits, including 10 doubles, two triples and a pair of home runs, and recorded an on-base percentage of .361. Lawson additionally led the Blue Tigers with a .991 fielding percentage, making 95 putouts and 18 assists.
This is the fourth academic award of the year for Lawson, who made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, earned MIAA Scholar Athlete honors and who was a recipient of the MIAA Academic Excellence Award.
