KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The score was tied for most of the second half, but Truman State struck in the 82nd minute to slip past the Lincoln women's soccer team, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 20).
Both teams had six shots on goal, but Truman State (3-2-3, 2-1-2 GLVC) had 17 overall attempts compared to nine for Lincoln (3-4, 2-3 GLVC).
TeTee Jallah had four of those total shots, including three on the goal.
Mia Greathouse had the kick that went past the keeper in the 49th minute to tie the score at 1-1.Â
The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead just before halftime in the 44th minute, but Jallah's goal kept the contest tied until the final 10 minutes.Â
Kanon Dehama made four saves and
Madison Wimberly, who had a shot on the net, attempted two shots in the match. Greathouse recorded two shots on goal and
Leah Serritos had LU's other attempt of the afternoon.
The Blue Tigers close out a three-match road trip on Wednesday (Sept. 23) when Lincoln plays Rockhurst in Kansas City, Mo. at 5:00 p.m. CDT.
