KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln women's soccer team scored the first goal of the match, but Rockhurst found the back of the net twice in the second half to rally for a 2-1 win over the Blue Tigers on Wednesday evening (Sept. 23).
Mia Greathouse opened the contest's scoring by taking a pass from
Gabriella Bortolussi and sending it past the Rockhurst (7-1-1, 5-1 GLVC) keeper. That goal came in the 52nd minute of the match, but the Hawks answered with the equalizer in the 60th minute. The score remained deadlocked until the 75th minute, when Rockhurst recorded the game-winning shot.
TeTee Jallah also had a shot attempt for Lincoln (3-5, 2-4 GLVC).
Kanon Dehama made nine saves while playing the complete match in the goal.
Lincoln is off until next Wednesday (Sept. 30), when the Blue Tigers host William Jewell at Capital City High School at 5:00 p.m. CDT.
