QUINCY, Ill. - Three members of the Lincoln women's basketball team scored in double figures, but a strong first half helped Quincy win, 75-54, on Thursday evening (Feb. 12).
Kiara Cabrera paced the Blue Tigers with 13 points and grabbed three rebounds.
Hallie Williamson added 11 points, a rebound and two blocks to the LU cause while
Taelyn Smith finished with 10 points, six boards, two assists and a block.
Kaleah Toran, meanwhile, had seven points, seven rebounds, and team-highs in both steals (five) and assists (three).
Quincy (13-9, 10-5 GLVC) scored 22 points in the opening quarter and 21 more in the second to take control of the game. Lincoln (4-19, 2-14 GLVC) forced the Hawks into 16 turnovers and out-scored Quincy in the second half, but QU shot .500 from the field while holding the Blue Tigers to a .340 percentage.Â
Isis Sanders supplied eight points, a rebound and an assist to the Lincoln effort, and
Bella Borgos provided three points, two boards and a steal.
Kennedy Jones rounded out LU with two points, a block, a steal, an assist and a rebound.
Lincoln travels to Kirksville, Mo. on Saturday (Feb. 14) to play Truman State at 1:00 p.m. CST.
