QUINCY, Ill. - Quincy shot .448 overall and .476 from long distance to beat the Lincoln men's basketball team, 77-58, on Thursday night (Feb. 12).
The Blue Tigers received 38 points from the bench and scored 26 in the paint, but shot .233 from three-point range as Quincy (9-14, 4-11 GLVC) led from start to finish. The Hawks held just a slim 39-36 advantage in rebounding but forced LU into 11 turnovers, resulting in 18 points. Quincy also scored 15 points at the charity stripe while the Blue Tigers were limited to just seven free throw attempts in the contest.
Rashad Williams led Lincoln (10-14, 4-12 GLVC) with 14 points and had a steal to go with three rebounds.
Matthieu Biembongo ended the evening with nine points and six rebounds.Â
Elliott Yorke, Jr. also had nine points as well as two boards and a pair of assists.Â
Tyler Chapman totaled seven assists on Thursday night and scored four points to go with five boards.
Max Ekono collected a team-high eight rebounds and scored seven points while dishing a pair of assists.
D'Necco Rucker added seven points, three rebounds and an assist while also blocking two shot attempts.
Sterling Rivera had a steal, chipped in five points and pulled down a rebound.
Robin Discamps closed the scoring for LU with three points and a pair of rebounds.
Amar Kadic pulled down three rebounds and
Malcolm Davis had two boards and an assist.
Lincoln next plays on Saturday (Feb. 14), as the Blue Tigers travel to Kirksville, Mo. to take on Truman State at 3:00 p.m. CST.
