INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Lincoln men's basketball team was picked to finish 11th while the LU women's basketball team was selected 14th in the GLVC's Preseason Coaches Polls.

The Blue Tiger men received 64 points to tie with Truman State for 11th in the preseason poll. McKendree tallied nine first-place votes and 190 total points to beat William Jewell, which had six first-place votes and 186 points, for the top spot on the poll. Upper Iowa (146), Illinois-Springfield (144) and Indianapolis (140) rounded out the top-five.

The Lincoln women received 37 points from the coaches to be slotted 14th in the preseason poll. Maryville and Missouri-St. Louis both earned six first-place votes, but Maryville topped the poll with 186 points while UMSL was next with 183. Drury received two first-place votes and was picked third with 171 points, and was followed in the top-five by McKendree (141) and Lewis and Truman State, which tied for fifth with 130 points each. Missouri S&T, which was voted to finish 10th, received the final first-place vote.
