BOLIVAR, Mo. -
Kaleah Toran led the Lincoln women's basketball team with 15 points, but the Blue Tigers fell to Southwest Baptist, 68-51, on Thursday night (Jan. 8).
Toran also provided four rebounds and three steals while
Taelyn Smith and
Bella Borgos each chipped in eight points.
Taelyn Smith led Lincoln with seven rebounds and dished two assists. Borgos, meanwhile, finished with four boards, an assist and a steal.
The Blue Tigers held Southwest Baptist (5-7, 2-4 GLVC) to .250 shooting from three-point range, but the Bearcats shot .438 overall and finished with a 51-33 advantage in rebounding. Lincoln (4-10, 2-5 GLVC) ended the game with a 21-point fourth quarter, but shot just .286 overall and was held to only six successful treys.
Isis Sanders, who led LU with five steals, and
Kennedy Jones scored six points apiece, with Jones additionally tallying three rebounds and two assists.
Hallie Williamson blocked two shots, scored five points and secured four rebounds.
Kiara Cabrera finished the game with one point, a steal and three rebounds.
Aaliyah Smith rounded out the Blue Tigers with three points, five rebounds, a block, a steal and an assist.
Lincoln travels to Springfield, Mo. on Saturday (Jan. 10) to play Drury at 1:00 p.m. CST.
