SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Isis Sanders paced the Lincoln women's basketball team with 17 points, but the Blue Tigers fell to Drury, 86-49, on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 10).

Drury (9-5, 6-1 GLVC) held a slim 14-10 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Panthers dropped 24 points in the second period and 30 in the third to pull away for the win. Lincoln (4-11, 2-6 GLVC) forced 10 turnovers, but shot just .278 from the floor.

In addition to leading the team in points, Sanders grabbed two rebounds and recorded a steal. Kaleah Toran added 12 points, four rebounds and an assist to the Lincoln cause while Taelyn Smith nearly had a double-double, finishing with nine points, 12 boards, three steals and a block. Hallie Williamson provided eight points, two blocks and an assist.

Bella Borgos closed the scoring for LU with three points and a pair of rebounds. Kiara Cabrera came off the bench to tally a block, a steal, a rebound and an assist. Aaliyah Smith blocked a shot and secured two rebounds. Kennedy Jones rounded out the Blue Tigers with three boards, two assists and two steals.

Lincoln closes a three-game road trip next Saturday (Jan. 17) when the Blue Tigers travel to St. Louis, Mo. to play Missouri-St. Louis at 1:00 p.m. CST.
