THE TIP OFF:  The Lincoln men's basketball team leaves the state of Missouri for a pair of GLVC road games in other state capitals. On Thursday (Jan. 29), Lincoln heads to Springfield, the capital of Illinois, to play a 7:30 p.m. CST game against Illinois-Springfield. The Blue Tigers then travel to the capital of Indiana, Indianapolis, to play Indianapolis on Saturday (Jan. 31) at 2:00 p.m. CST. The Blue Tigers split their last two games, both played at home, as LU defeated Maryville on Thursday (Jan. 22) but lost to McKendree on Saturday (Jan. 24). The Prairie Stars snapped a bried two-game skid with a pair of wins last week and are 12-6 overall. Indianapolis, meanwhile, is 9-10 on the season after dropping a 107-89 decision to Drury last Friday (Jan. 23).
 
FAST BREAKS
- Lincoln and Illinois-Springfield meet for the sixth time on Thursday night, with the Prairie Starts leading the all-time series, 3-2.
 
- The Blue Tigers beat the Prairie Stars, 75-60, last season in Jason Gym.
 
- Lincoln and Indianapolis will play one another for just the second time on Saturday.
