THE TIP OFF:  The Lincoln men's basketball team hosts a pair of games in Jason Gym this weekend after being on the road for its last three contests. On Thursday (Jan. 22), the Blue Tigers host Maryville in a 7:30 p.m. CST tip-off. Lincoln remains at home on Saturday (Jan. 24) to face McKendree at 3:00 p.m. CST. The Blue Tigers are trying to snap a six-game skid, as, despite playing their rivals close in many of those contests, Lincoln enters the week with a 7-10 overall record. The Blue Tigers are seeking their first victory of 2026 this week. Maryville is also a team trying to get back in the win column, as the Saints, who are 2-16 overall and 0-10 in GLVC play, currently are on a seven-game skid. McKendree, meanwhile, is 13-4 on the season and 6-3 in league play.
 
FAST BREAKS
- On Thursday, Lincoln and Maryville will meet for the eighth time. The Saints hold a 6-1 lead in the series.
 
- The last time the Blue Tigers played the Saints, LU won, 89-77, in St. Louis, Mo. on Feb. 24, 2025.
 
- Saturday marks the 19th meeting between McKendree and Lincoln. The Blue Tigers lead the all-time series, 10-8.
 
- The Blue Tigers have won three of their last four games against McKendree, including handing the Bearcats a 73-68 victory in Lebanon, Ill. on Jan. 23, 2025.
