Blue Tigers Begin 2025 With a 1-1 Draw

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Lincoln women's soccer team finished with a dominant 13-2 advantage in total shots as the Blue Tigers kicked off their 2025 campaign with a 1-1 tie at Harris Stowe on Friday (Sept. 12).

The Hornets got on the board first, turning a corner kick opportunity into a 1-0 lead 37:32 into the match. Lincoln did not need long to score the equalizer, however, as a pass by Ivanna Faria set up Angela Reynolds for the game-tying goal at the 43:11 mark. After a goalie change in the second half, Harris Stowe (2-3-3) kept the Blue Tigers off the board. Lincoln's keeper, Kanon Dehama, had a save as she shut out the Hornets during the final 45 minutes.

Five different Blue Tigers, including Reynolds and Faria, had two shot attempts on Friday evening. Mia Greathouse and Kennedy Coles each had two shots and one shot on goal while Rachael Noel also tried two shots. Juli Wismar, Adia Able and Kayleb Garrett had one shot attempt each, with Wismar's being on the goal.

The Blue Tigers will open both their home schedule and their GLVC slate on Sunday (Sept. 14) as Lincoln hosts Missouri S&T at 12:00 p.m. CDT. Kickoff for that match at Dwight T. Reed Stadium is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. CDT.
