INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - After posting a pair of top-three finishes in the span of eight days, Divya Gunasegar was selected as the GLVC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week. The league office announced the honor on Thursday (April 10).

Gunasegar was the Division II medalist at the National Women's Collegiate Championship in Katy, Texas on April 1-2, winning the individual field by an impressive seven strokes. Gunasegar opened the three-round tournament with a 73 in each of the first two sets of 18 holes before shooting a 77 in the final round for a final score of 223.

Less than a week later, Gunasegar placed third at the UHSP Spring Invitational in Madison, Ill. on April 7-8 after shooting a two-round 155. Gunasegar shot 79 in the first round and a 76 in the second. As a team, Lincoln placed third in both tournaments.

This is the first career conference athlete of the week award for Gunasegar as well as the first-ever GLVC Golfer of the Week award for a Blue Tiger.

The Blue Tigers will next play in the GLVC Women's Golf Championship, which will be played in Bolivar, Mo. at Silo Ridge Country Club on April 25-27.
