ALTON, Ill. - The Lincoln women's golf team won the MBU Spring Classic by an impressive 71 strokes while four Blue Tigers finished in the top-five at the two-day tournament, hosted by Missouri Baptist University at Spencer T. Olin Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday (April 13-14).

The Blue Tigers posted a team score of 634 to comfortably win the tournament over UHSP, which finished with a total of 705. Divya Gunasegar and Kaathi Gunasegar tied for first place with scores of 155; Divya shot totals of 83 and 72 while Kaathi posted scores of 80 and 75.

Nur Sakinah finished in third place after shooting a 79 in the opening round and a 77 in the second for a final sum of 156. Marsya Nazri, meanwhile, rounded out the top-five with her sum of 168, as she carded an 84 in both rounds.

Seannae Norville-Smith tied for eighth overall with a total of 173. Norville-Smith carded an 85 on Monday and an 88 on Tuesday. Dixie Moss played in the tourney as an individual and tied for 10th, as she posted scores of 91 and 84 for a total of 175.

The Blue Tigers will be back on the links this weekend, as Lincoln travels to Peru, Ind. to play in the GLVC Women's Golf Championship at Rock Hollow Golf Course on Friday through Sunday (April 17-19).
