JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln baseball team opened conference play on Friday (March 14), falling to Missouri-St. Louis, 15-3.
All three of Lincoln's runs were scored on a home run hit by
Jayden Little in the sixth inning.
Ryan Lepper hit a lead off double, Andy Sreboski IV followed with a single and Little knocked a pitch over the right field fence for a three-RBI slam. Missouri-St. Louis (13-7, 3-2 GLVC) scored a pair of runs in the top of the first, but Lincoln (2-15, 0-1 GLVC)Â kept the Tritons off the board in the second and third innings. UMSL scored multiple runs in each of the remaining innings, however, and finished with a 15-7 advantage in hits.
Sreboski, Little and
Ty Ollison each had two hits and
Drake Davidson struck out two Tritons while
Canon Feist fanned one. Little led Lincoln with 12 putouts. Sreboski turned four assists while
Blythe Blakey, Ollison and
Isaiah Figueroa tallied two apiece.
Lincoln hosts UMSL in a double-header on Saturday (March 15) at 12:00 p.m. CDT at Vivion Field.
