INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Lincoln men's basketball team earned the No. 4 seed in the GLVC tournament and will face No. 5 Lewis on Friday (March 7). Tip-off for the game, which will be played in St. Charles, Mo. in Hyland Arena on the campus of Lindenwood University, is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. CST.
The Blue Tigers, who finished in the top-four of the GLVC in their first season in the conference, posted their best record in 24 years, finishing 20-8 overall with a 12-8 mark in league play. Lincoln entered the week ranked No. 8 in the NCAA Division II Midwest Region. Lewis, which is No. 10 in the regional rankings, finished 17-10 overall and 12-8 in GLVC play. Lincoln and Lewis met twice during the regular season, with the Blue Tigers sweeping the series, earning a 75-65 victory in Jefferson City on Dec. 5 and a 69-64 win in Romeoville, Ill. on Feb. 8.
If Lincoln beats Lewis on Friday, the Blue Tigers will play the winner of the game between No. 1 Missouri S&T and No. 8 McKendree on Saturday (March 8) at 12:00 p.m. CST.
