JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Staunch defense helped Truman State beat the Lincoln women's basketball team, 78-42, on Thursday night (Feb. 13).
The Blue Tigers forced 17 turnovers and came up with nine steals, including three apiece by
Emma Wolken and
Isis Sanders. Truman State (11-14, 8-7 GLVC) shot .481 from the field, however, and limited Lincoln (1-20, 0-15 GLVC) to .281 shooting overall.Â
Imani Harris led LU with 10 points and tallied a steal to go with three rebounds.
Chase Giddings finished with a team-high 11 rebounds and chipped in six points to go with an assist and a steal. Wolken totaled eight points, four boards and an assist while Sanders ended the evening with five points and three rebounds.
Kennedy Jones dished a pair of assists and collected three rebounds.
Kiara Cabrera added six points and a rebound to the Blue Tiger cause while
Biance Stocks finished with five points and
Lyssa Sportsman grabbed a rebound.
Kaleah Toran rounded out Lincoln with two points, a rebound and a steal.
Lincoln will play its annual Think Pink game on Saturday (Feb. 15) when the Blue Tigers host Quincy at 1:00 p.m. CST.
