FAYETTE, Iowa - The Lincoln women's basketball team scored 20 points in the fourth quarter, but a hot start helped Upper Iowa to win, 90-67, on Thursday night (Dec. 4).
Bella Borgos led the Blue Tigers with 16 points and pulled down six rebounds.
Laini Joseph also finished in double digits, tallying 13 points, four boards, an assist, a block and a steal.
Upper Iowa (4-3, 2-0 GLVC) shot .611 in the first quarter and .750 in the second, scoring 56 points in the opening half to take control of the contest. Lincoln (3-5, 1-2 GLVC) tightened up defensively in the second half, holding the Peacocks to .368 shooting in the third quarter and just four successful field goals in the fourth period. The Blue Tigers outscored the Peacocks by six over the final 10 minutes.

Hallie Williamson each added nine points, with Taely Smith also providing six rebounds, an assist and a block. Williamson had a board and
Aaliyah Smith came off the bench to contribute four points, four rebounds and an assist.
Kennedy Jones, meanwhile, led LU with seven rebounds and finished with five assists and two steals.Â
Kiara Cabrera scored six points, had a steal and pulled down two rebounds.
Isis Sanders also had six points and notched a steal to go with two rebounds.
Kaleah Toran, meanwhile, blocked a shot, chipped in four points, grabbed two rebounds and recorded two steals.
Lincoln remains on the road to play Lewis in Romeoville, Ill. on Saturday (Dec. 6) at 1:00 p.m. CST.
