JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri Western shot .479 from the field and .433 from beyond the arc to hand the Lincoln women's basketball team an 89-61 loss in its final game before the holiday break on Thursday (Dec. 18).
Laini Joseph led Lincoln (4-7) with 16 points and pulled down six rebounds to go with three assists, a pair of steals and a block.
Kiara Cabrera shot 9-for-10 at the line and finished with 13 points, two assists, a rebound, a steal and a block.
Hallie Williamson added 11 points, two boards and an assist.
The Blue Tigers shot .857 at the free throw line, but Missouri Western (3-7) held LU to .302 shooting overall. LU forced the Griffons into 19 turnovers but MWSU held a 52-32 advantage in rebounding. Lincoln blocked five shots and received 27 points from its bench.
Kaleah Toran provided six points and two rebounds,
Aaliyah Smith had four points and two boards, and
Taelyn Smith finished with four points, five boards, two blocks and a steal.
Kennedy Jones dished two assists and tied for the team lead with six rebounds.
Bella Borgos chipped in four points and blocked a shot while recording a steal.
Isis Sanders rounded out Lincoln with three points, three assists and a pair of rebounds.
Lincoln will next play on Jan. 2, 2026, as the Blue Tigers host Truman State at 5:30 p.m. CST.
