Seven Reach Double Figures as Lincoln Beats Central Christian Bible


JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - All five starters for the Lincoln men's basketball team and two of its reserves scored in double figures as the Blue Tigers beat Central Christian Bible, 114-42, on Monday afternoon (Dec. 15).

Solomon Oraegbu led all players with 24 points and pulled down five rebounds to go with three assists and a pair of steals. Max Ekono had a double-double, as he finished with 10 points, 14 boards and five assists. Robin Discamps, meanwhile, came off the bench to provide 20 points, seven rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block.

Lincoln (6-4) shot .555 from the field and .483 from three-point range as LU led from start to finish. The Blue Tigers posted a 64-26 advantage in rebounding and held Central Christian Bible (4-7) to .239 shooting from the floor and .103 shooting from long distance. LU also forced 13 turnovers and scored 60 points inside the paint.

Matthieu Biembongo ended the day with 10 points and eight rebounds in just under 12 minutes of work. D'Necco Rucker chipped in 12 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished an assist, recorded a steal and blocked a shot. Malcolm Davis rounded out Lincoln's starters with 12 points, six boards, five assists and a steal.

Also scoring in double figures was Rashad Williams, who supplied 12 points, five rebounds and a block to the winning cause. Amar Kadic added eight points, four boards and an assist while Sterling Rivera provided one point, a steal, two rebounds and a team-high six assists. Reumang Emagna ended the afternoon with three points and three rebounds, and Elliott Yorke, Jr. rounded out the Blue Tigers with two points and a pair of rebounds.

Lincoln is back in Jason Gym on Wednesday (Dec. 17) to close a three-game homestand by hosting Arkansas Baptist at 6:00 p.m. CST.
