THE TIP OFF:Â The Lincoln men's basketball team tips off a three-game homestand on Thursday (Dec. 11) when the Blue Tigers host Haskell. This game, originally slated for a 12:00 p.m. CST start, will now tip off in Jason Gym at 6:00 p.m. CST. The Blue Tigers will be back at home on Monday (Dec. 15), hosting Central Christian Bible at 12:00 p.m. CST. Lincoln is seeking to end a three-game skid, as LU dropped three GLVC contests last week. LU enters the week with a 2-1 record in Jason Gym and will play three of their final four games of the 2025 calendar year in Jefferson City. Haskell is 3-11 on the season and has dropped seven games in a row. Central Christian Bible, which is treating Monday's game as an exhibition, is 4-5 overall.

FAST BREAKS
- On Thursday, Haskell and Lincoln will meet in the sport of men's basketball for the first time ever. The two schools have played one another in other sports in the past, with the most recent occasion being on Nov. 17, when the LU women's basketball team beat Haskell in Jason Gym, 66-48.

- On Monday, Lincoln will play Central Christian Bible for the third time. The Blue Tigers won both of the first two meetings.

- Lincoln last played Central Christian Bible on Nov. 30, 2021, and beat the Saints, 101-55.

PREVIEWING THE BLUE TIGERS:Â After a trio of 20-point performances,
Solomon Oraegbu leads Lincoln with 18.4 points per game. He also averages 5.9 rebounds while
Max Ekono, who is scoring 7.3 points per game, leads the team with 7.1 boards per night.
Enari Thomas averages 12.9 points and 3.3 rebounds and
Tyler Chapman is averaging 11.4 points, 2.4 boards and 3.1 assists per contest.
Malcolm Davis averages 2.5 apg. and scores 8.8 ppg.

HEAD COACH JIMMY DREW:Â In 2024-25, Drew led Lincoln to its first-ever GLVC tournament title as well as the program's first bid into the NCAA tournament since 1981. In four years leading the Blue Tigers, he has won over 50 games, including posting a 23-9 record last season. Drew led LU to a 17-10 record during his first season and won 15 games in 2023-24.

Upper Iowa 76, Lincoln 62
Enari Thomas and
Solomon Oraegbu each scored 16 points while
Matthieu Biembongo finished with 10 points and seven rebounds, but Upper Iowa held off the Blue Tigers for a 76-62 win in Fayette, Iowa on Thursday (Dec. 4). The Peacocks shot .563 from the field and held the Blue Tigers to .227 shooting beyond the arc.

Lewis 56, Lincoln 47
In a battle between two tenacious defenses, LU fell to Lewis, 56-47, in Romeoville, Ill. this past Saturday (Dec. 6).
Solomon Oraegbu led Lincoln with 10 points,
Robin Discamps had nine and
Malcolm Davis and
Enari Thomas each scored eight points.

SCOUTING HASKELL:Â Averaging 74.6 points per game and 32.5 rebounds, Haskell has already played 14 games in 2025-26. Jesse White leads the team with 22.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.2 assists per contest. Nehemiah Boykins averages 16.6 points and 6.0 boards while Preston Olney is averaging 12.3 points.

HASKELL HEAD COACH MATTHEW DOWNING:Â In eight seasons as the coach at Haskell, Downing has won 72 games, including 18 during his third season with the program. Downing is a 20-year coaching veteran who played college ball at Maryland, where he was a guard from 1988-92.

SCOUTING THE SAINTS: Four members of the Central Christian Bible program average double digit points, led by Trey Palmer and Silas Massey with 17.1 points per contest each. With 10.0 boards per night, Massey is averaging a double-double. Edris Hamilton leads the Saints with 27 steals and averages 16.4 points. Quian Henderson is averaging 16.8 points as well as 4.8 rebounds. The Saints average 80.3 points per game.

CCB HEAD COACH JACK DEFREITAS:Â Now in his 15th season as the head coach of the Saints, Defreitas is the program's all-time wins leader with 163 career victories. In 2017-18, Defreitas led Central Christian to its first-ever conference title. In his career, Defreitas has coached teams to three league championships and one national tourney appearance. He is in second stint as the leader of the Saints, as he was an assistant coach at Asbury from 2009-13.

GIMME THREE:Â Tyler Chapman is one of the finest long-range shooters in the GLVC, as his .391 accuracy rating ranks fifth in the conference. Chapman is also fifth in the conference in treys made per game with 2.8, and his 18 total three-pointers ranks sixth in the GLVC. Malcolm is also high on the league list, with his 2.3 treys per game tied for seventh.

WE'LL TAKE THOSE FREE POINTS:Â Lincoln has been excellent at the free throw line, shooting .790, the 18th-best percentage in the nation. The Blue Tigers average 17.4 free throws per game, rating them third in the league. LU, which leads the GLVC in free throw percentage, ranks fourth with 22.0 attempts per game, and seven Blue Tigers shoot at least .700 at the line.

HE"S GOOD AT MAKING FREE THROWS:Â Solomon Oraegbu made his first 33 free throws of the season and, with a .900 shooting percentage at the line, is third in the GLVC and 44th in the nation. Oraegbu is 45-50 at the line and is fourth in the conference in free throws made as well as seventh in free throws attempted. His 45 makes are the 38th-most by an NCAA Division II player this season.

DENIED:Â Matthieu Biembongo has blocked 12 shots in 2025-26, the most by any player in the GLVC and the 58th-most by a Division II player. Biembongo's 2.0 blocks per game are also the most in the league while rating 45th in the nation. As a team, Lincoln rejects an average of 3.1 shots per night, the fifth-most in the conference.

NO PLACE LIKE HOME... OR A NEUTRAL SITE:Â Due to scheduling a number of neutral site games, including two in Puerto Rico, the Blue Tigers did not play their first true road game until Dec. 4 against Upper Iowa. LU has played three games at home thus far and will also play its next three in Jason Gym. With four neutral site contests this fall, LU's next road game isn't until Jan. 8.
