JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri S&T shot .571 from the field and .467 from long distance as the Miners handed the Lincoln men's basketball team a 99-87 loss on Monday (Dec. 1).
Solomon Oraegbu led all players with 32 points and collected six rebounds to go with two steals.
Enari Thomas added 25 points, three assists, a steal and two rebounds to the LU cause while
Max Ekono had a team-high 12 rebounds as well as five points, two assists, a steal and a block.
Missouri S&T (4-0, 1-0 GLVC), currently ranked No. 8 in the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II poll, shot .613 in the opening half en route to a 49-38 lead at the break. Lincoln (4-2, 1-1 GLVC) scored 49 points in the second half while shooting .500 from the field and preventing the Miners from making a three-pointer. For the game, however, the Blue Tigers shot .348 from beyond the arc and .742 at the line.
Tyler Chapman had seven points, three boards and a pair of assists while
D'Necco Rucker came off the bench to chip in five points.
Matthieu Biembongo pulled down six rebounds and tallied two points as well as a team-high three blocks.
Rashad Williams also had a block and grabbed a rebound.
Robin Discamps made a three-pointer and
Malcolm Davis ended the night with six points and five boards.
Amar Kadic closed out the socing for LU with two points.
Lincoln's next game is on Thursday (Dec. 4) in Fayette, Iowa, as the Blue Tigers play Upper Iowa at 7:30 p.m. CST.
