JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln men's basketball team improved to 3-0 on the season after winning its home opener, 69-44, over Hannibal-LaGrange on Monday night (Nov. 17).

Tyler Chapman led the Blue Tigers with 15 points and five assists while Malcolm Davis provided 14 points, thre rebounds, two assists and a steal to the winning cause. Max Ekono nearly posted a double-double, finishing with nine points, nine rebounds, two assists and a steal.

After Lincoln took a 17-10 lead midway through the first half, Hannibal-LaGrange (3-3) used a 7-2 run to get back within two with six minutes until the break. Ekono ended the run with a pair of free throws, Chapman drained a three and later connected on another triple to put Lincoln back up by 10. The Blue Tigers took a 16-point lead into halftime and shot .423 overall and .500 from long range to secure the victory.

Enari Thomas added nine points to the LU effort and grabbed five rebounds to go with three steals and two assists. Solomon Oraegbu provided eight points, seven rebounds and block while Robin Discamps had two rebounds and an assist. Amar Kadic added five points and five rebounds, Rashad Williams contributed two points and two boards and D'Necco Rucker finished with four points, three rebounds and a steal. Matthieu Biembongo closed the scoring with three points and six boards.

Lincoln travels to Kansas City, Mo. on Saturday (Nov. 22) to play Emporia State on the campus of Avila University at 12:00 p.m. CST.
