LEBANON, Ill. - The Lincoln men's soccer took advantage of a second-half goal to battle McKendree to a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 5). With the tie, the Blue Tigers have reached the halfway mark of their 2025 season without suffering a single loss.
Lincoln, which entered the game ranked No. 12 in the United Soccer Coaches Division II poll, is now 6-0-2 overall and 4-0-2 in the GLVC. McKendree, meanwhile, is 4-3-3 on the season and 4-1-2 in conference play.
The Bearcats scored their only goal of the day at the 18th minute mark on a penalty kick. Both teams had 12 total shots, but McKendree finished with a 7-4 advantage on shots on goal.
Vincent Osei made six saves while playing all 90 minutes in goal.
The Blue Tigers tied the game in the 73rd minute when
Christopher Hull scored unassisted.
Nkouka Loubassour led LU with three shot attempts while
Rajae Lawrence had two shot attempts, one of which was on goal.
Kevon Maitland provided two shots on goal while
Adam Griffiths,
Hadri Lopez,
Jaheem Johnson and
Santiago Brisco finished with one shot apiece.
Lincoln is back in the friendly confines of Dwight T. Reed Stadium on Friday (Oct. 10) to host Illinois-Springfield at 7:30 p.m. CDT.
